Sorry As
I Can Be Blues
I can't believe
it happened
It was an accident
I can't believe I broke it
That wasn't my intent
It feels good
to say I'm sorry, when something has gone wrong
It feels good to say I'm sorry, I just want to get along
We all make mistakes, not just me
I'm sorry as I can be.
I can't believe
it happened
I really made a mess
I didn't mean to spill it
All over your new dress
It feels good
to say I'm sorry, when something has gone wrong
It feels good to say I'm sorry, I just want to get along
We all make mistakes, not just me
I'm sorry as I can be.
I can't believe
it happened
I called you something bad
I didn't mean to hurt you
But you really made me mad
It feels good
to say I'm sorry, when something has gone wrong
It feels good to say I'm sorry, I just want to get along
We all make mistakes, not just me
I'm sorry as I can be.

Everyone
Is a Winner -
by Fritzie and Charlotte Cummins
I get to play,
hurray hurray
You get to play, yippee yippee
We all have fun (We all have fun)
We won we won (We won we won)
Everyone is a winner.
Sometimes you
don't get to choose
When someone wins, someone has to lose
But listen up kids, here's the good news
Everyone is a winner
I get to play,
hurray hurray
You get to play, yippee yippee
We all have fun (We all have fun)
We won we won (We won we won)
Everyone is a winner.
Sometimes when
we play we're asked
Who'll be first, then who will be last
I know my turn will be a blast
Everyone is a winner
I get to play,
hurray hurray
You get to play, yippee yippee
We all have fun (We all have fun)
We won we won (We won we won)
Everyone is a winner.
I get to play, hurray hurray
You get to play, yippee yippee
We all have fun (We all have fun)
We won we won (We won we won)
Everyone is a winner.

Nice
to Meet You
I've been thinking
about how to get along
How to act, how to talk how to sing this song
What do I say when I meet someone new
How do I know the right thing to do
Let's start
with the words with a capital M
Mr., Mrs., Ms. Add Sir and Ma'am
Each grown-up has one before the name
Men are Mr. Women Ms or Mrs., not the same
Nice to meet
you I'd like to say
Nice to meet you it's a lovely day
It won't take
long to figure this out
Yes Sir, no Ma'am, and without a doubt
The respect you show comes back to you
Using manners like this helps you it's true
Nice to meet
you I'd like to say
Nice to meet you it's a lovely day
And when someone
new joins your circle of friends
Introduce her to the circle let the names begin
Listen while I introduce my friend to you
Karen this is John, Ann and Kim friends true
Nice to meet
you I'd like to say
Nice to meet you it's a lovely day
And when you
introduce someone older than you
Remember those M words whatever you do
Like Mom, this is my teacher Mr. Graham
Mr. Graham this is my Mom, Ms. Lamb
Nice to meet
you I'd like to say
Nice to meet you it's a lovely day
Nice to meet
you I'd like to say
Nice to meet you it's a lovely day
Nice to meet you I'd like to say
You can make today a lovely day

Swingin'
on a Star - © 1944 Johnny Burke and Jimmy
Van Heusen, All Rights Reserved.
Would you like
to swing on a star?
Carry moonbeams home in a jar,
And be better off than you are,
Or would you rather be a mule!
A mule is an
animal with long floppy ears,
He kicks up at everything he hears.
His back is brawny and his brain is weak,
He's just plain stupid with a stubborn streak.
And by the way, if you hate to go to school,
You could grow up to be a mule.
Or would you
like to swing on a star?
Carry moonbeams home in a jar,
And be better off than you are,
Or would you rather be a pig!
A pig is an
animal with dirt on his face
His shoes are a terrible disgrace!
He's got no manners when he eats his food,
He's fat and lazy and extremely rude
And if you don't care a feather or a fig,
You could grow up to be a pig!
Or would you
like to swing on a star?
Carry moonbeams home in a jar,
And be better off than you are,
Or would you rather be a fish!
A fish can't
do anything but swim in a brook,
He can't write his name or read a book.
To fool the people is his only thought,
And though he's slippery he still gets caught
If that sort of life is what you wish,
You could grow up to be a fish!
And all the
monkeys aren't in the zoo
Everyday you meet quite a few
So you see it's all up to you
You could be better than you are
Would you like
to swing on a star?
Carry moonbeams home in a jar,
And be better off than you are,
You could be swingin' on a star!
You could be better than you are,
You could be swingin' on a star!

Why Manners?
Why do I need
manners, why do I need rules?
Why do grown-ups tell me manners are useful tools?
Using manners
will put you on the right track
When you use manners it's a positive act
You pay attention, think ahead, you're aware
Manners show respect, they show the world you care
Manners show respect, they show the world you care.
And kids don't
you know that the seeds that you sew
And what you plant in your life will grow
What goes around comes around, every day
When you use manners, good things come your way
When you use manners good things come your way
Don't you love
it when people use manners with you
It makes you feel like they care and you know that they do
Nice words can really make your day!
When you use manners, good things come your way
When you use manners, good things come your way.

Bad
Noises Polka - © 2003 Eric Parkinson,
All Rights Reserved.
I once knew
a young boy and girl too
Who liked to make noises that they thought were cool.
And riding home on the bus from their school,
They shocked and offended with sounds like a fool.
Chorus:
Don't do this: (SFX)
Don't do that (SFX)
Don't make bad noises we told you 'bout that!
Don't do this
(SFX)
Don't do that (SFX)
It's not nice in public, and that is a fact!
Billy and Sally
they thought it was fun
To splatter and gurgle and gross everyone.
But Billy and Sally found out the hard way,
If you make bad noises you won't get to play.
Chorus:
Your parents
and teachers will tell you what's true
It's not nice to (SFX) or (SFX) AAAHHHCHOO!
So cover your mouth and behave properly,
And people will thank you most definitely!
Chorus:
When you Mind
Your Manners, your life is good, too,
People will smile and the world will like you.
The way to be healthy and happy and rich,
Just Mind Your Manners, you'll get what you wish!

Lend
a Helping Hand
Lend a helping
hand; lend a helping hand
When you see an opportunity, lend a helping hand
I have two hands
so do you
Let's think about what hands can do
They can get us in trouble when we hit and slap
They can do good in just a snap
Lend a helping
hand; lend a helping hand
When you see an opportunity, lend a helping hand
Though your
hands may be real small
They can catch something about to fall
Set the table and sweep the floor
Helping out is what they're for
Lend a helping
hand; lend a helping hand
When you see an opportunity, lend a helping hand
Carry something
from here to there
Maybe even take it up the stairs
Help your Dad out in the yard
Maybe even wash the car
Lend a helping
hand; lend a helping hand
When you see an opportunity, lend a helping hand

Please
and Thank-You Song
Any question
starts with please, anything you ask
When you answer say thank-you, it's an easy task.
Please and thank-you,
please and thank-you
These three words will open the door
These three words will give you more
Please and thank-you, please and thank you
Three little words that everyone loves to hear.
Now Billy used
to be so mean, he would yell, he'd scowl, he'd scream
When he wanted us to play, we would all just run away
He asked himself what he did wrong, then he thought about this song
And tried our three little words out right away.
Please and thank-you,
please and thank-you
These three words will open the door
These three words will give you more
Please and thank-you, please and thank you
Three little words that everyone loves to hear.
Billy said please
can I play with you, we said yes, he said thank-you
Just like that things changed you see, Billy learned how friends can be
Please and thank-you sound so nice, so kids just take my advice
Use these three little words as much as you please!
Please and thank-you,
please and thank-you
These three words will open the door
These three words will give you more
Please and thank-you, please and thank you
Three little words that everyone loves, three little words that fit like
a glove
Three little words that everyone loves to hear

At the Dinner
Table
The table is
set so beautifully,
I hope a place is set for me
I have to remember to do things right
At the dinner table tonight
At the dinner
table, at the dinner table
Eating with friends and family
I want them all to be proud of me.
I'll put my
napkin in my lap
And sit quietly in my chair
My mouth will be closed when I chew
I'll handle my fork with care
At the dinner
table, at the dinner table
Eating with friends and family
I want them all to be proud of me.
I'll use both
hands to take a drink
When others talk I'll listen and wait
Once I've used my fork and spoon
I'll lay them across my plate.
At the dinner
table, at the dinner table
Eating with friends and family
I want them all to be proud of me.

Be
Nice - by Charlie Shepard with Fritzie
Be nice to others,
and they'll be nice to you.
Be nice to others, It's the best thing you can do.
If you're nice to others like your sisters and your brothers
It'll come right back to you
Be nice to others, and they'll be nice to you.
Share with others,
and they will share with you.
Care for others, it's the best thing you can do.
Share with others like your sisters and your brothers
And the kids you meet at school
Share with others and they will share with you
Be nice to others,
and they'll be nice to you
Be nice to others, it's the best thing you can do
Be nice to others like your sisters and your brothers
And the kids you meet at school
Be nice to others, and they'll be nice to you.

Let's
Go
Each time I
go someplace new
I think about what I should do
I'm happy that I get to see
Everything happening around me.
In the car or
on the bus
Sit down buckle up don't fuss
Stay in my seat while we ride along
Maybe I'll just sing this song.
Each time I
go someplace new
I think about what I should do
I'm happy that I get to see
Everything happening around me.
The driver has
to watch the road
It's hard for him if I'm too loud
I'm so excited I want to yell
But I know that's not behaving well.
Each time I
go someplace new
I think about what I should do
I'm happy that I get to see
Everything happening around me.
Each time I
go someplace new, I get to go someplace cool,
Each time I go someplace new.

Say
It with a Smile
If you can't
say anything nice
Don't say anything at all
If you can't say it with a smile
Don't say anything at all
Words can make us happy
Or words can make us sad
Let's just skip the sad words
Choosing words that make everyone glad
If you want
someone to be your friend
Treat them like you want them to treat you
If you want friendship through thick and thin
Listen like you want to be listened to
It's give and take and take and give
Getting along in the world we live
Say something nice, remember to smile
You'll enjoy life all the while
Using manners gives you style
And you can say it with a smile.

To
Be My Best - by Fritzie and Charlotte Cumnmins
Show me what
to do, tell me what to say
I love you and I want to make you happy today
Teach me all the rules, I want to do it right
To be a manners maestro will be out of sight
Remember that
your Sunday best
Means how you act as well as dress
Keep your hands out of your hair
Never take more than your share
Show me what
to do, tell me what to say
I love you and I want to make you happy today
Teach me all the rules, I want to do it right
To be a manners maestro will be out of sight
Keep the chair
legs on the floor
Never slam, just close the door
Greet each person as you meet
Family times like this are sweet
Show me what
to do, tell me what to say
I love you and I want to make you happy today
Teach me all the rules, I want to do it right
To be a manners maestro will be out-of-sight
Show me what
to do, tell me what to say,
Show me what to do, tell me what to say.
Show me what to do, tell me what to say
I want to use good manners today.
